Shazia Naqib is a contemporary abstract artist based in Greater Manchester, UK.
Through expressive colour, texture and movement, her paintings explore memory, belonging and the emotional connection we have with places, landscapes and personal experiences. Her work invites viewers to pause, reflect and discover their own stories within each composition.
Working primarily in oils, acrylics and mixed media, Shazia creates intuitive paintings inspired by nature, changing skies, water, light and the traces that memories leave behind. Her abstract approach allows space for personal interpretation, encouraging a quiet dialogue between the artwork and the viewer.
Her work has been exhibited in galleries and exhibitions across the UK and internationally, including HOME Open 2026, Didsbury Arts Festival 2026, MASA-UK exhibitions and Oyez Arts. In 2026, her painting Where Tides Go High was shortlisted for the inaugural Cecile Elstein Studio Art Prize at Didsbury Arts Festival.
Shazia’s artistic practice is guided by a simple belief: art has the power to create moments of connection, reflection and hope. Through each painting, she seeks to capture not only what is seen, but also what is felt.
She is a member of the Altrincham Society of Artists and continues to develop new collections from her studio in Greater Manchester.
